HBO got hacked again
HBO has gotten hacked again. At least, that’s what the folks over at The Hollywood Reporter are saying.
The Hollywood Reporter reported that HBO’s twitter account was hacked by a group called OurMine.
The Hollywood Reporter quoted the group’s tweet which read, “Hi, OurMine are here, we are just testing our security, HBO team please contact us to upgrade the security-ourmine.org.”
As y’all can see, the group’s tweet implies they were being good Samaritans by hacking the network.
The only problem is the hacks aren’t good for HBO’s business. Instead of using their time to develop another Emmy winning show, folks over at HBO are using their time, energy, efforts, and most importantly money to deal with this hack and the hacks that came before it.
During the end of July of this year, there was a cyberattack against the network which resulted in everything from emails, scripts, and future episodes of Game of Thrones being stolen.
And although the FBI is investigating that cyberattack, it wasn’t enough to prevent the second round of cyberattacks that occurred on Sunday.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the cyberattack that happened on Sunday resulted in several episodes from the upcoming season of Curb Your Enthusiasm being released.
A spokesperson for HBO told The Hollywood Reporter they are investigating the incidents.
